Pdea Seized Shabu Worth Over P100 Million Inside An Abandoned Car In Quezon City

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized almost 20 kilograms of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, inside the storage compartment of a car abandoned in Quezon City.

PDEA agents said the seized illegal substance was found wrapped in metallic foil and stuffed inside two blue 5-gallon water containers. The drug’s estimated value was placed at more than P100 million.

According to GMA News Online, the PDEA got a tip from an informant that a blue Mitsubishi Lancer car with plate number WPB 418 was carrying shabu. The car was found parked at Tangali Street, Barangay San Jose, Quezon City.
PDEA Director 3 Ismael Fajardo Jr. said PDEA agents conducted a stake out and waited three days for the driver to get his car, but obviously the driver sensed the presence of the agents and abandoned the car with its illegal cargo.
Fajardo suspects that the illegal drugs came from a Chinese drug lord.
The PDEA is set to report the case to the Land Transportation Office to identify the owner of the vehicle.
