Purslane leaves known as duckweed contains more omega-3 fatty acids than of fish oils. It leaves also provides six times more vitamin E than spinach and seven times more beta carotene than carrots.

Furthermore, Purslane is rich in vitamin C, phosphorus, riboflavin, magnesium and potassium.

The leaves are somewhat crunchy and has a slight lemony taste. Many people use it as a substitute for spinach in many recipes.

The original wild plant had small green leaves, it grows upright to around 30 to 45cm (12 to 18inches) tall and produces fleshy leaves.

It also helps to prevent cancer, heart diseases, strokes, and reduces the risk of developmental disorders in children.
