GOOD NEWS: Billionaire Kazuo Okada Provides Thousands of Jobs in the Philippines


One of the world's most prominent businessman in Asia, Japanese billionaire Kazuo Okada just opened the $2.4 billion Okada Manila that could provide as much as 8,000 jobs once fully operational.


The Okada Manila is owned and managed by the Japanese billionaire is considered as the newest entrant in Manila's Entertainment City.

Aside from Okada Manila, the Japanese billionaire also owned the $35-million Aruze Philipines Manufacturing, Inc., in Sto. Tomas, Batangas which currently employs over 800 workers and 99 percent of those workers were Filipinos.

The Batangas Plant is a subsidiary of Universal Entertainment Corporation which is also owned by Kazuo Okada. The production plant produces slot machines and it moves its operation from Japan to the Philippines last 2009.


The twin investment of the Japanese billionaire is considered as one of his contributions to the Philippines as the country aims to reduce unemployment.

Kazuo Okada's partner in the Philippines is no other than businessman Antonio "Tony Boy" Cojuangco. Their joint venture project is the development of the 44-hectare Okada Manila, the newest and biggest integrated resort development that will open within PAGCOR Entertainment City.
