A thirteen year old Indian girl, Twinkle Dwivedi has a terrifying bloody mystery about her – she cries blood. It oozes from her eyes, hairline, palms and the soles of her feet without any round, cut or scratch whatsoever. Known as the “girl who cries blood”, Twinkle has been the subject of numerous medical research studies and TV shows.
Some call her rare disease a bad omen, and others claim she is possessed. However, a pediatrician named Dr. George Buchanan says that he believes Twinkle’s condition is most likely psychiatric rather than medical and that he suspects Twinkle suffers from Munchausen Syndrome wherein people imagine certain medical symptoms and the physically recreate them.
The doctor revealed that when he examined Twinkle, he found no signs of injury and no explanation as to where the blood came from. The blood appeared to simply seep through the skin.
According to Dr. Buchanan, it could be Nandini, Twinkle’s mother, who is creating the blood and placing it to Twinkle – that is, her mother is suffering from Munchausen syndrome. The doctor added that it is critical to note that no one other than Twinkle’s mother has actually witnessed the bleeding actually begin.
Dr. Bauchman had interaction and diagnosis of Twinkle bleeding episodes. He met Twinkle Dwivedi. Although, the blood flowing out of her skin usually does not cause much pain, during that particular episode, Twinkle did complain of the back of her head hurting. He is mystified when he can’t find any wound.
